What doES SPEAK OUT do?
Speak Out employs advocates who are experienced in working with people living with a disability.
Advocacy means ‘standing beside’ someone, or standing up for someone’s rights. An advocate is on your side if you are being treated unfairly and will help you work out what you want and how they can help. Learn more about Speak Out Advocacy →
SPEAK OUT MEMBERSHIP
Anyone with an intellectual disability can become a full member of Speak Out. The cost of full membership is $10.00.
Speak Out runs monthly self advocacy groups in Hobart, Launceston and Burnie. Each year there is the Speak Out conference that goes for 2 – 3 days.
